Job summary

CMTA, formerly AMA Group, a Legence company, seeks an experienced MEP Project Manager for the New York City and New Jersey offices. You will lead 4–5 concurrent projects, manage drawings and specifications, and serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves coordinating with the Superintendent, Estimating, and CMTA's in-house engineering group, with travel across the region as needed. Salary ranges from $115,000–$140,000 and includes a bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of construction experience.
• 1-2 years of construction Project Management experience.
• Experience managing union and non-union subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Procore.
• Working knowledge of MS Project and the MS Office Suite.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams across multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead 4–5 concurrent projects of varying size and scope.
• Review and maintain command of all project drawings and specification books.
• Serve as primary point of contact for client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend internal kickoff meetings with Estimating to ensure clean handoff—reviewing awarded subcontractor scopes, client allowances, proposal notes and clarifications, and contract stipulations.
• Lead weekly client meetings and establish weekly subcontractor meetings at project onset.
• Maintain safety knowledge and perform site safety audits per CMTA policies.
• Coordinate project laborer schedules and oversee hourly payroll with Superintendents.
