Job summary

Upland Mechanical, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer, Construction (Mechanical) to support project management on commercial construction sites in Columbus, OH. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and cost control, with hands-on site collaboration and documentation oversight.

The engineer will assist with contracts, prepare reports, and ensure QA/QC of equipment and materials while coordinating with field staff and suppliers to meet project milestones and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, construction management, business administration or related field.
• Internship or 1–3 years of mechanical, plumbing, and/or industrial HVAC field experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction contract language.
• Knowledge of local market is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with execution and management of project contracts.
• Prepare and present computer generated spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform QA/QC for project equipment, materials and documentation.
• Maintain communication with project superintendents on sites.
• Generate, maintain and facilitate project documentation for all project phases.
• Attend meetings and comply with safety programs.
