With a focus on collaboration, you’ll manage project scoping, contractor bids, budgets, and equipment commissioning. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 5 years of capital project experience.

You’ll manage scope, bids, contractors, budgets, schedules, and outages; coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Vendors, and Purchasing; support startup; and create training and operating procedures. Compensation: $85,000–$120,000 base + 10% bonus + paid relocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and mechanical‑controls integration for plant projects
• Select equipment and develop system layouts for new installs and upgrades
• Define project scope, prepare bid packages, and evaluate/award contractor work
• Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure safe, on‑time, on‑budget execution
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and spending tracking
• Coordinate plant outages and support equipment commissioning and start‑up
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, EHS, and vendors
• Communicate project plans/status to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Develop training materials and operating procedures for new/modified systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field
• 5+ years of capital project engineering experience (chemical or manufacturing preferred)
• Proven experience integrating mechanical systems with automation/instrumentation/controls
• Strong problem‑solving and hands‑on project management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across cross‑functional teams
• Willingness to work on‑site in Columbus, OH (paid relocation available)
