Job summary

MissionHires is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to spearhead capital equipment and process-improvement projects at their South Columbus, OH facility. The role entails planning, designing, and implementing new installations, and upgrading mechanical systems in conjunction with automation and controls.

With a focus on collaboration, you’ll manage project scoping, contractor bids, budgets, and equipment commissioning. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 5 years of capital project experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of capital project engineering experience in chemical or manufacturing settings.
• Experience integrating mechanical systems with automation, instrumentation, and controls.
• Hands-on project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and controls integration for plant projects.
• Select equipment and develop layouts for new installations.
• Oversee contractors to ensure on-time and on-budget execution.
• Coordinate plant outages and support equipment startup.
