Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Milwaukie, Oregon, is seeking a materials handler in a full-time, on-site role within the Structurals division.

You will coordinate and oversee daily operations of stores/receiving, inventory, replenishment, issuing, and administrative tasks to support maintenance and production needs. Essential duties include receiving and inspecting materials, managing inventory, fulfilling requisitions, and coordinating with purchasing and accounting.

Qualifications

• At least two years of materials handling experience, including receiving, inventory and issuance.
• OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Previous experience with and demonstrated knowledge of computerized inventory control systems.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow instructions on work orders and requests.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and to interact effectively with others.
• Ability to organize time and workloads effectively, and to work independently.
• Ability to train and direct the work of less experienced personnel.
• Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Receiving: oversee and participate in the receipt, inspection and processing of materials.
• Replenishment: initiate replenishment activity based on inventory control.
• Inventory: oversee inventorying and warehousing of materials and equipment.
• Issuing: oversee and perform the issuance of materials and equipment.
• Administrative: perform coordination and clerical support for stores functions.
• Safety: adhere to safety rules and operate equipment safely.
