Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Milwaukie seeks a Material Handler to coordinate, track, and document movement of work-in-progress inventory.

You will enter accurate inventory, scheduling, and location data into the tracking system to support production planning and ensure lot integrity. Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing floor experience preferred.
• Previous data entry and inventory control experience preferred.
• Basic ability to follow instructions, read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to attend to detail, resolve record-keeping problems and work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and matches part lots with paperwork, routing information, serial numbers, quantities, etc. before transporting lots to next department.
• Checks for and assures completion of signoffs on work completion before transporting lots to next department.
• Meets with leads to reconcile problems regarding paperwork/inaccuracies and communicates between departments.
• Moves parts by hand, pallet jack, and with forklifts according to routing.
• Loads and unloads product to and from Portland Operations; updates inventory system to reflect locations.
• Reconciles inventory system information; ensures part lot numbers are accurately tracked.
• Completes daily cycle counts and checks sample lots for quantity and location.
