Strategic Management Solutions, LLC (SMSI) is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee the receipt, storage, inventory, and tracking of construction materials and process equipment for LANL in Los Alamos, NM. This on-site role ensures materials are properly managed and readily available to support project needs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in materials management, working in high-security, regulated environments with knowledge of DOE site procedures and inventory systems.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management or similar role.
• Knowledge of DOE site regulations and site-specific procedures.
• Strong organizational and logistics skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• US Citizenship required; active DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain.
• Active Real ID driver’s license for badging and onboarding.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate shipment schedules from multiple suppliers to ensure timely delivery to the receiving location.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm shipment details, quantities, size, storage, handling and transportation requirements.
• Track and monitor incoming shipments to identify delays, discrepancies, or issues that need resolution.
• Coordinate and oversee security ingress to site for oversized shipments.
• Oversee receiving activities, ensuring materials are checked in accurately and documented properly.
• Verify the condition and accuracy of received materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Identify and report inventory inaccuracies, damaged goods, or shipment errors.
• Arrange and coordinate transportation of received materials to the warehouse.
• Work with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, organization, and inventory tracking.
• Work with construction to track and release materials for installation.
• Ensure materials received are transported to proper storage level location.
• Oversee preliminary unpacking and assembly for transfer to construction install.
• Inform project scheduler of delays, recovery activities, and contingency actions.
