Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Material Coordinator to help keep the R-Project supplied across Nebraska's laydown yards and active work fronts.

You will coordinate material receipt, storage, tracking, staging, and delivery, working closely with construction, project, and quality teams. The role requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years in materials coordination or logistics for infrastructure projects, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; certificates in Materials Management or related discipline are assets.
• 3–5 years in materials coordination, logistics, or supply chain for construction or infrastructure.
• Experience with large-scale transmission/substation or similar projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material receipt, storage, staging, and delivery across laydown yards and active work fronts to align with construction schedules.
• Maintain inventories and track material movements, identifying shortages, excess stock, misallocations, and delivery conflicts.
• Maintain traceability records (heat numbers, batch info, certifications) and coordinate with Quality for inspections, turnover.
• Coordinate deliveries with logistics providers, vendors, and Supply Chain Management teams; resolve packaging and documentation issues.
• Use project systems to report material quantities, availability, and delivery milestones; support look-ahead planning.
• Follow procurement plans, procedures, and regulations for material handling and documentation.
• Suggest improvements to material flow and yard organization.
