Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Materials Coordinator to oversee the material lifecycle on projects, from procurement to final installation support. You will work with Procurement, Construction, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Suppliers, and Project Management to ensure materials are available when needed.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, with a degree in a related field and at least 2 years of materials management experience, proficient in Excel, and able to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in materials management, logistics, or procurement.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Track materials from purchase order release through delivery, receipt, storage and issuance.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Construction, Engineering, Suppliers and Logistics to align material availability with schedules.
• Monitor material deliveries and communicate shortages or delays.
• Support receiving activities by verifying quantities and documentation.
• Assist with material inspections and resolution of discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory records, material locations, and transaction documentation.
• Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate storage, preservation, handling, and distribution activities.
• Prepare material status and inventory reports and project documentation.
• Support warehouse operations and material issuance processes.
• Assist with logistics issues and process improvements.
