Neogen in Lansing, MI is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support for manufacturing operations on-site. This role partners with employees, supervisors, and plant leadership to foster a positive, compliant and high-performing work environment, focusing primarily on first- and second-shift manufacturing staffing and relations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or operations.
• Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
• Experience conducting investigations and coaching frontline leaders.
• Familiarity with employment law, HR compliance, and HR best practices.
• Labor relations or union environment experience preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for manufacturing employees, supervisors, and leaders across shifts.
• Partner with plant leadership on employee relations, performance management, attendance, staffing, engagement, and workforce planning.
• Conduct and support workplace investigations, document findings, and recommend steps.
• Coach supervisors on performance conversations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain HR records and support compliance with laws and company policies.
• Support onboarding, communications, retention, training, and engagement activities.
• Assist with labor relations matters and collective bargaining interpretation where applicable.
• Review workforce data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
