Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Standby Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Columbus, OH. The role requires living in a company-provided apartment and responding to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities include maintaining the property, prioritizing and completing work orders, and performing plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry tasks per company standards. EPA, CPO, and OSHA-related qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required or obtained within 120 days of start via company paid training.
• Experience in multi-family property maintenance preferred.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as part of rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the apartment community and day-to-day operations.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and complete work orders per standards.
• Perform plumbing tasks: pipe fittings, shut-offs, sinks, faucets, disposals, repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, boiler, water heater issues; diagnose appliances.
• Deliver carpentry work: doors, jambs, drywall, trim, caulking, replacements.
• Handle electrical repairs: switches, outlets, light fixtures.
• Tile and tub surround repairs; monitor inventory of parts.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
