Job summary

Collective, a growing property management company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Minneapolis area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems as the on-site expert, prioritizing work orders and supporting property operations.

You will work independently, manage vendors, and deliver a best-in-class resident experience through hands-on maintenance, preventative tasks, and responsive service, with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to take ownership of a property’s maintenance operations
• Clear communication with residents and team members
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Execute apartment turns to meet move-in deadlines and quality standards
• Prioritize, complete, and close out service requests efficiently and professionally
• Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and ensure consistent execution
• Coordinate and manage third-party vendors as needed
• Maintain organized shop, inventory, and supply levels
• Ensure property interior and exterior maintenance to keep a clean, safe, high-quality appearance
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, prospects, and property owners
• Build Collective brand loyalty by ensuring resident interactions are positive
• Follow and adhere to Fair Housing Laws
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies
