Job summary

Investment Property Group seeks a Floating Maintenance Technician to support multifamily communities in Minneapolis, MN and Burnsville, MN. The role involves hands-on maintenance, completing work orders, and ensuring property cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will diagnose defects, perform plumbing/HVAC/appliance repairs, and follow safety standards while prioritizing residents’ needs and maintaining equipment and common areas.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician at a multifamily community of 100+ units.
• Experience and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs (stoves, refrigerators, washer, dryers, etc.).
• Employees must supply their own hand tools and possess knowledge and skills in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• Strong communication skills and works well as a team.
• Must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies as needed and participate in on-call rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests promptly and professionally, ensuring maintenance standards are met.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing defects and performing repairs.
• Track inventory, obtain materials, and notify supervisor for re-orders.
• Perform general community and facilities maintenance under minimal supervision, maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Maintain positive resident relations and provide courteous service.
• Assist with inspections and upkeep of the property and common areas daily.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and contribute to occupancy goals.
• Support management with developing more efficient maintenance methods.
• Participate in after-hour and emergency coverage rotation.
