Job summary

Bellwether Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join its Facilities Management department in Seattle. The role focuses on completing apartment and property maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and renovation projects.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of maintenance experience in property management, possess a valid WA driver’s license, and demonstrate strong customer service and safety awareness while working with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience in property management or related field.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and ability to travel between Bellwether properties.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Property Managers & Maintenance Supervisor to review work orders and unit turns.
• Apply fair housing guidelines when entering occupied units.
• Maintain tenant confidentiality and safety procedures.
• Diagnose and complete routine maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.
• Prepare vacant units for re-renting promptly.
• Communicate material needs to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with Bellwether standards and safety manuals.
