Job summary

Magic Metals in Yakima, WA is seeking a Maintenance professional to join our on-site team. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance on lasers, CNC punches, press brakes, mills, and related systems to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, inspect equipment regularly, document activities, and coordinate with production, engineering, and management to set maintenance priorities aligned with daily

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment, preferably in a metal fabrication or machining environment.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting techniques for production machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and standard safety practices in a shop or plant setting.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with production, engineering, and supervisory staff.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort working on-site around heavy machinery, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in an ISO-certified or similar quality-focused environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment such as lasers, CNC punches, press brakes, mills, and related support systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and conduct routine inspections.
• Complete repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain facility infrastructure and document maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule work.
• Support continuous improvement in equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and management teams to align maintenance priorities with production needs.
