Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment, preferably in a metal fabrication or machining environment.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting techniques for production machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and standard safety practices in a shop or plant setting.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with production, engineering, and supervisory staff.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working on-site around heavy machinery, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an ISO-certified or similar quality-focused environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Maintenance professional role is a full-time, on-site position based at Magic Metals in Yakima, WA. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment such as lasers, CNC punches, press brakes, mills, and related support systems. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, conducting routine inspections, and completing repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
