Job summary

Brookfield Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our apartment communities in New York City. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and general maintenance to ensure resident satisfaction and property quality.

A team-oriented approach and strong customer service are essential. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of commercial property or multi-unit residential property experience, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant trades certifications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• High School Diploma/GED; 3–4 years of experience can offset minimum education requirements.

Responsibilities

• HVAC repairs, cleaning, parts replacement.
• Plumbing repairs, parts replacement, installation (sinks, toilets, faucets).
• Carpentry repairs and installations (doors, shelves, countertops, locks).
• Painting and drywall/plaster repairs.
• Electrical/Appliance work: lighting, wiring, circuits, switches.
• Machinery maintenance: chillers, belts, pumps, fans.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
