Job summary

The Neiders Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to perform hands‑on tasks across multiple apartment communities in the Seattle area. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems with emphasis on quality workmanship and resident service.

Travel between nearby properties is required; you will work under the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager to support daily operations and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certs preferred (CAMT, EPA 608 Type II, or CPO).
• Minimum of 2 years apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and related systems.
• Must possess basic personal maintenance tools (screwdrivers, drill, socket set, wrenches, hammer).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently and with onsite teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and complete assigned maintenance tasks accurately and promptly.
• Prioritize service requests by urgency and resident needs.
• Keep detailed work orders and communicate timelines to residents.
• Perform general maintenance across grounds, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections; report complex issues needing escalation.
