Job summary

The Neiders Company in Seattle, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to perform apartment and property maintenance duties across two nearby communities. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager and complete tasks efficiently while upholding high standards of curb appeal and resident service.

This role requires reliable transportation between sites, the ability to work evenings and weekends, and strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues.
• Strong customer service skills with a commitment to providing professional and responsive service to residents.
• Ability to travel between assigned apartment communities based on daily maintenance and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Flexibility to be on call after hours.
• Respond to resident requests professionally and promptly.
• Perform various maintenance duties including repairs: Ground maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, and appliance repairs.
