Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will handle work orders, perform make-ready inspections, manage inventory, and support safety compliance on a daylight schedule with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, documentation, and assisting with grounds upkeep.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification.
• State and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing as per safety standards.
• Executes the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination, supplies, and follow-up.
• Manages access to materials and tracks inventory, returning unused items and notifying supervisors about re-orders.
• Completes timely, accurate documentation for service requests and property records.
• Assists in grounds and amenity upkeep, including trash pickup, pressure washing, cleaning, and painting curbs/signage.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts and practicing efficient use of tools and materials.
