Job summary

St. Charles Community College is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of campus buildings, equipment and HVAC systems in Cottleville, MO. The role includes hands-on work, supervising the maintenance team, and coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years in maintenance and repairs.
Knowledge in supervision, reading blueprints, carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing.
Two or more years of supervisory experience required.
Must be able to use hand tools, electrical/power tools, voltage meters, snow removal equipment, PC, DOS, and Windows.
Valid Class A, B, C, or E driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on HVAC, general maintenance, and repair work; painting, carpentry, electrical, etc.
Provide supervision for work in progress; assist as needed; problem solving.
Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and reviewed.
Prioritize and assign jobs for the maintenance department; develop time, manpower, equipment estimates.
Communicate with faculty, staff and vendors regarding maintenance requests and problems.
Maintain maintenance department paperwork (requests, repair orders, requisitions, time sheets).
Maintain supplies and equipment; prepare requisitions; coordinate vendor repairs.
Operate campus vehicles as needed.
