Job summary

Beacon-Communities-LLC seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for Moorhead Tower Apartments in Pittsburgh, PA to oversee maintenance and facilities operations, manage work orders, and guide the team to timely market-ready units.

The role involves hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC, budgeting, vendor coordination, and resident relations. It is a non-exempt, on-site position with on-call duties and a focus on energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in building or property maintenance supervisory work.
• Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician preferred.
• Designated certifications for property type where required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules maintenance team and assists with daily operations (service orders, repaints/re-carpets, apartment turnovers, etc.).
• Maintains the work order system prioritizing, delegating, and scheduling work as needed.
• Performs various maintenance functions in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, painting, and heating/air issues.
• Completes minor repairs and improvements in vacant units for market ready status in a timely manner.
• Oversees and coordinates exterior siding repairs, emergency roof repairs and minor repairs to HVAC.
• Picks up and delivers supplies using company or personal vehicle.
• Maintains decorating replacement schedules and painting of units and common areas.
