Job summary

Beacon Communities LLC seeks a Maintenance Team Supervisor for Franklin Manor Apartments in Columbus, OH. Lead maintenance staff, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely completion of service orders while upholding safety standards and budget controls.

The role requires carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge, with a preference for a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician. Must live within commuting distance and participate in on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Safely uses hand tools and small power tools.
• Proficient with computers.
• Able to supervise maintenance staff and contractors.
• Maintains neat, orderly work practices and valid driver’s license.
• Knowledgeable in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and heating standards.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
• Capable of handling emergencies and time-sensitive issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with contractors, vendors, inspectors, and city officials.
• Assist with training and scheduling of daily operations and service orders.
• Perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry and painting when licensed work is not required.
• Complete unit renovations and market-ready preparations.
• Oversee safety, budgets, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage inventory, purchases, and vendor contracts.
