Job summary

RPM Living is seeking an Assistant Maintenance professional to support and eventually assume Maintenance Manager duties on-site at a multifamily community. Responsibilities include emergency response, completing work orders within 24–48 hours, and coordinating with residents and contractors to maintain safety and quality.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED (preferred), EPA certification, and at least one year of multifamily maintenance experience or training.

Qualifications

• EPA certification is preferred/required as stated.
• One year of multifamily maintenance experience or training.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance tasks.
• Complete work orders and tasks within 24–48 hours with updated records.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate status to residents and team members.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and exterior maintenance.
• Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain aesthetics and structural integrity.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and contractors for seamless operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid issues and maintain property quality.
• Assess safety and cleanliness to protect resident well-being.
• Report supply needs and keep shop organized; act in manager’s absence.
