Job summary

Thrive Communities is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the on-site maintenance team at our Washington, DC-area properties. You will perform unit turns, manage work orders, and coordinate with leasing staff to keep properties running smoothly.

The role requires OSHA knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to respond to after-hours emergencies. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in property management or equivalent.
• 6+ months supervisor experience with leadership skills.
• Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair.
• Strong understanding of OSHA guidelines, PPE, etc.
• Prior experience with Yardi or other software for unit turns and work orders.
• CAMT and CPO certifications.
• Must supply own tools and have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and leads maintenance team members.
• Performs unit turns and work orders.
• Coordinates with leasing staff for seamless communication.
• Conducts monthly safety meetings and OSHA/SDS compliance.
• Schedules preventative maintenance and budget-conscious purchases.
• Maintains property grounds and appearance; oversees vendors.
