Job summary

Thrive Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead property upkeep at our Washington, DC area communities. The role covers unit turns, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance, with a focus on resident satisfaction and team leadership.

You will oversee vendors, manage budgets, and ensure high standards across mid-rise and high-rise properties. This on-site position requires after-hours on-call availability and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience in property maintenance or equivalent field.
• Maintenance experience in multi-family property management preferred.
• Experience in mid-rise/high-rise buildings, Class A/B preferred.
• CAMT certification is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and English data entry in tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance tasks such as unit turns and work orders.
• Conducts monthly safety meetings and manages OSHA/SDS reporting.
• Maintains grounds and professional appearance of the property.
• Manages vendors for landscaping, pest control and other assets.
• Maintains inventory and oversees budget adherence.
• Emergency on-call is required; supports resident services.
• Strives to exceed residents' expectations for service.
• Contributes to a positive team culture and resident satisfaction.
