Aperto Property Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead for the community at 433E in Long Beach, CA. You will lead hands-on maintenance to keep the property safe, functional, and attractive for residents, through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative upkeep.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on maintenance in multifamily housing or similar.
• Experience in high-rise environments.
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry repairs.
• HVAC/EPA certifications or related credentials are a plus.
• Experience with 100+ unit communities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Respond to service requests and prioritize urgent issues.
• Conduct regular property inspections to prevent major problems.
• Ensure safety protocols and compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with turnover repairs and prepare vacant units.

What You'll Do:

• Perform general maintenance duties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs to ensure the property remains in excellent condition.
• Respond to maintenance service requests promptly, prioritizing work orders based on urgency and importance.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address any issues before they become major problems.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the property complies with all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with turnover repairs and preparation of vacant units for new residents.
• Work closely with property management and other team members to ensure efficient operations and positive resident experience.

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily housing or a similar environment.
• Experience working in a high-rise environment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general carpentry.
• Experience with HVAC certification, EPA certification, or other relevant maintenance credentials is a plus.
• Experience with over 100+ unit communities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality.
• Weekend and periodic call-backs required. Availability to participate in on-call emergency rotation and respond to emergencies after hours.
