Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an On-Site Machinist II in Winston-Salem, NC to set up, operate, and adjust conventional and automatic machines. You will work from drawings to produce replacement parts and precision components for repairs and prototypes, often at customer sites.

The role emphasizes metrology, fixture design, and basic CNC programming with CAD/CAM tools, maintaining tolerances and ensuring quality throughout production. A high school diploma and 3–5 years' experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years machining experience.
• Ability to read drawings and understand specifications.
• Knowledge of measurement tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers).
• Familiar with CAD/CAM software for simple part programming.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, mills, shapers or grinders.
• Set up and adjust machine tools and fixtures for precision work.
• Inspect finished parts and verify tolerances with precision gauges.
• Program CNC tools and troubleshoot machining issues.
