Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program
• Current MA RN/LPN license in good standing
• Prior nursing experience preferred
• Understand the philosophy and model of care at HSL
• Professional, proactive, collaborative, and communicative
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to innovate, manage multiple projects, and adapt
• Motivated to learn and flexible to change
• Computer literacy required
• Excellent English language skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality nursing care within scope under RN oversight
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs and monitor outcomes
• Maintain primary nursing model and document care planning
• Document care in the electronic medical records system and generate required reports
• Delegate and supervise care by nursing assistants; participate in governance and quality initiatives
• Support autonomy and patient choice; assist with care planning and rounds
• Assume charge nurse duties as assigned; contribute to staff scheduling and evaluations
• Attend rounds and contribute to performance improvement projects
• Assist with unit activities such as meals and daily operations
