Job summary

UWM is seeking a Loss Mitigation Leader to manage the loss mitigation team on-site at our Pontiac, MI campus. You will drive strategy, policy, and performance across modifications, forbearance, and related options while ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional customer outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in mortgage loan servicing with at least 3 years in leadership, plus strong analytics and cross-functional collaboration skills. Join a team focused on excellence and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years in mortgage loan servicing.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role managing loss mitigation or similar portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of RESPA, TILA, FDCPA and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Loss Mitigation team, ensuring high performance and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement loss mitigation strategies for modifications, forbearance and other options.
• Oversee policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk management, and customer service teams.
• Monitor KPIs and report on performance; identify improvement areas.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and portfolio results.
• Serve as main escalation contact for loss mitigation issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork and learning.
