Job summary

Connect Staffing Solutions, LLC is hiring a Logistics Customer Service Coordinator for an on-site role in Houston. The position requires hands-on experience entering customer orders, coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, and direct customer communication in a logistics environment.

This role focuses on accurate order processing, timely shipping, and close collaboration with warehouse and transportation teams to meet deadlines. On-site schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of office-based customer service or order coordination experience in logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, or distribution.
• Direct experience entering and processing customer purchase orders or sales orders for physical products.
• Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with warehouse or transportation teams.
• Daily customer communication by email and phone regarding orders and shipments.
• Hands-on use of an ERP, WMS, or order management system to enter orders, update shipment information, or monitor fulfillment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple orders, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer purchase orders and accurately enter inbound and outbound orders into the company’s system.
• Verify order details, quantities, shipping instructions, and customer requirements before releasing orders.
• Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure orders are processed and shipped on time.
• Monitor open orders and follow up on pending shipments.
• Communicate directly with customers by email and phone regarding order status, shipment updates, delays, and discrepancies.
• Review purchase orders, packing lists, bills of lading, and shipment confirmations for accuracy.
• Investigate shortages, overages, incorrect orders, and other shipment issues.
• Update customer, inventory, order, and shipment records.
• Meet established order accuracy, response-time, and processing standards.
