Job summary

Vallen in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a VSS Temp Technician I focused on Life Safety Services to install, inspect, test, and maintain life safety systems for established customers on a scheduled basis.

You will conduct service calls, troubleshoot on-site, and prepare technician worksheets, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and state regulations. The role demands physical capability and attention to safety details.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 certification (manufacturing/state) in a fire protection related field.
• Minimum 1 year related experience in life safety systems.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to repair and maintain equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL required if transporting hazardous materials.
• Must pass Drug & Alcohol screen, physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install Life Safety Systems and perform service calls per standards.
• Test and inspect Life Safety Systems on-site and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare accurate technician worksheets and reports.
• Provide customer service for installation and ITM of Life Safety Systems.
• Read and follow applicable regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA).
• Assist warehouse with receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping.
