Job summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking motivated engineering students for the Summer 2027 Operational Excellence Internship Program. This paid, fully on-site internship offers hands-on experience improving manufacturing processes, supporting continuous improvement, and driving operational performance within a global industrial organization in Canton, Ohio.

You will work with plant leadership, engineers, and operations teams on lean initiatives, data analysis, waste reduction, 5S, and standard work.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering; junior or senior by Fall 2027 preferred.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in a team.
Interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.
Assist with process analysis and data collection to identify opportunities for improvement.
Participate in waste reduction, 5S, visual management, and standard work initiatives.
Analyze operational processes to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
Document best practices and operating standards; track project metrics.
