Job summary

JLL is seeking a Lead Engineer in Santa Clara, CA to oversee 24/7 critical building systems, lead the engineering team, and ensure continuous uptime with zero downtime tolerance. You will coordinate work orders and make sound technical decisions under pressure.

The role is on-site, first shift (7am-3:30pm, M-F), reporting to the Chief Engineer. Requires 5+ years in facilities operations, EPA certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in facilities operations, especially in critical environments.
• Universal CFC EPA certification and strong technical expertise in HVAC/electrical/plumbing/fire/life safety/building automation.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as primary point of contact during shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and continuous operation of all critical building systems during your shift.
• Monitor BAS and critical equipment performance; conduct routine rounds and checks.
• Coordinate and lead work order responses and maintenance procedures during shift hours.
