Job summary

ALS Limited is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our on-site team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role focuses on preparing industrial hygiene samples for trace metals analysis and respirable silica, using ICP-AES, ICP-MS, CVAAS, or XRD, with additional duties in equipment maintenance and SOP adherence.

You will collaborate with technicians and analysts, document results, and support QC within established timelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; associate's degree preferred.
• 1+ years laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Word; able to learn LIMS.
• Strong written and verbal communication; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis (industrial hygiene, trace metals, respirable crystalline silica).
• Perform gravimetric determinations and assist with QA requirements.
• Document activities and report results concisely; meet turnaround times.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and follow SOPs; assist with equipment maintenance.

Education

1+ years laboratory experience

Proficient in Excel & Microsoft Word

Experience with LIMS
