Job summary

Abcam in Waltham, MA, is hiring a Lab Support Technician to provide hands-on laboratory support, ensuring safe and compliant environments. You will assist with autoclaving, glass washing, buffer/media prep, PPE stocking, waste handling, and basic equipment upkeep on-site.

The role reports to the Lab Support Manager and sits within the Workplace Team. Requirements include a high school diploma and the ability to work with vendors, maintain records, and operate in a customer-facing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with hands-on lab support experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work with vendors and keep records.
• Proficiency with standard office tools and on-site customer-facing work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform core lab support operations including autoclave use, glass washing, buffer and media prep, and PPE stock maintenance.
• Support safety and compliance by managing chemical/biological waste and inspecting safety equipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain lab readiness and equipment upkeep.
