Job summary

Detroit Public Schools Community District is seeking a Curriculum Leader of K-8 Mathematics Intervention to support Tier II and III instruction, teacher training, and instructional coaching across district programs. This role reports to the Senior Director, K-8 Mathematics and drives implementation of standards-based curricula aligned with TIP goals.

The incumbent will collaborate with ILTs, coordinate K-8 Math Intervention and grades 6-8 Math Virtual Tutoring, and provide staff training on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate highly preferred.
• Valid State of Michigan Administrator Certificate highly preferred.
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience.
• Proven experience with teacher development, training, and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Support Tier I, II, and III instruction through coaching cycles, modeling, and professional development.
• Build capacity of teachers, lead teachers, and school leaders to analyze student data.
• Coach teachers in planning, lesson delivery, and refining small group instruction.
• Coordinate with district vendors to design and co-facilitate professional development workshops.
• Gather and analyze data to evaluate core instruction and intervention programs for refinements.
• Contribute to TIP goals and communicate trends to ILTs and district leadership.
• Participate in common planning meetings to strengthen instructional practice.
• Engage in strategic thinking and problem-solving to support schools' goals.
