Job summary

KIPP Memphis seeks a K–8 Math Director to serve as a systems-level instructional leader across the district. You will set the vision for rigorous math instruction and partner with school leaders, coaches, and the academics team to accelerate student learning in underserved communities.

This role emphasizes coaching, data-driven planning, curriculum fidelity, and targeted intervention. You will model lessons, co-plan, and build capacity to ensure every student gains access to high-quality math

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with strong math results.
• Experience coaching or leading adults (teachers/coaches).
• Experience guiding secondary-level math or coaching secondary teachers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach teachers and instructional leaders on rigorous math practices and standards-aligned strategies.
• Model lessons, co-plan, and provide real-time feedback to build capacity across campuses.
• Lead data-driven instructional planning cycles and develop systems for analyzing student work and assessment data.
• Monitor assessment results and intervention effectiveness; support tiered interventions across campuses.
