Job summary

The Town of Oro Valley is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist staff with technology challenges and to manage hardware, software, and OS issues. You will handle multiple urgent requests, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, and ensure timely ticket resolution in a fast-paced, on-site environment that supports Town departments and the Police Department.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience with desktop

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years' experience analyzing computer systems and solving problems.
• Two years' experience with hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance of desktop and portable computers.
• Two years' experience working with Windows operating systems.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and technical support to staff, including installing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining computer, phone, and tablet hardware and software.
• Installs and maintains computers, workstations, and operating systems.
• Supports council meetings in an audio and visual capacity.
• Responds quickly and effectively to incoming tickets, ensuring service level targets are met.
• Works on projects as assigned.
