Job summary

Foam & Wash Car Wash in Poughkeepsie, NY seeks an IT Support & Systems Specialist to keep critical systems operating and support employees across 13 Hudson Valley locations. This on-site, field-based role requires travel between Dutchess and Orange Counties with occasional evenings/weekends.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues, manage networking gear, coordinate with our POS provider, ensure PCI compliance, and train staff on secure tech use.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, systems administration, network support, or similar hands-on role.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, OS and networking.
• Ability to diagnose problems and drive issues to resolution.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, access controls, backups, and security protocols.
• Experience with POS systems across multiple locations preferred.
• PCI compliance familiarity preferred.
• Strong organization, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication to explain tech issues to non-technical staff.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with teams and vendors.
• Bachelor's/Associate in CS/IT or equivalent experience; certifications welcomed.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or similar preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, hands-on IT support to employees at HQ and car wash locations.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, connectivity, and system issues.
• Serve as primary contact with enterprise-wide POS provider.
• Coordinate POS installations, upgrades, troubleshooting and vendor support.
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain computers, printers, servers, tablets and networking gear.
• Support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks and related infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance: updates, backups, patches, inspections.
• Plan and implement hardware/software upgrades across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with outside IT partner for cybersecurity and PCI compliance.
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Train employees on proper and secure use of company technology.
• Travel regularly between Foam & Wash locations.
