Job summary

The Charlotte County Clerk of the Circuit Court is seeking an entry-level Service Desk technician to provide technical and analytical support for end users, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems and timely resolution of help requests.

This in-office role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills, with duties spanning incident handling, hardware/software support, and asset management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification required or obtainable within six months.
• ITIL Foundation certification required or obtainable within six months.
• Windows client OS knowledge to install and troubleshoot PC hardware/software.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, document, and resolve help requests.
• Escalate incidents to Tier II when appropriate.
• Perform daily PC client-server production jobs and data exports.
• Install, configure, and maintain PC hardware and software.
• Document incidents and requests in the Service Desk system.
• Assist with asset management and inventory across IT resources.
