Job summary

Mirantis is seeking an IT Support Engineer to be the on-site IT presence at our Campbell, CA headquarters. This fully on-site role supports employees in the office and provides remote assistance during US business hours.

You’ll handle end-user IT across devices, onboarding/offboarding, conference-room/AV, asset management, and executive support, collaborating with a distributed IT team while following established policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support, desktop support, or helpdesk experience.
• Hands-on experience with end-user hardware, software — macOS and Windows.
• Experience provisioning SaaS/productivity platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom).
• Familiar with onboarding/offboarding processes — equipment setup, account provisioning, and access management.
• Experience supporting conference rooms and AV equipment.
• Comfortable with IT asset tracking and procurement coordination.
• Excellent communication and ability to support executive users calmly.
• Based in or near Campbell, CA and on-site during US business hours.
• Exposure to MD MDM tools (Jamf, Intune, Kandji) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira Service Management or Zendesk is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Google Workspace, ITIL) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• End-User Support: on-site IT support at HQ and remote support during US business hours; troubleshoot hardware, software, and access issues across laptops, peripherals, and productivity tools.
• Device & Endpoint Support: Provision, configure, and maintain employee devices; repairs, replacements, and day-to-day device issues.
• Onboarding & Offboarding: Handle on-site onboarding/offboarding — equipment provisioning, accounts, and asset recovery.
• Conference Room & AV Support: Maintain and support video conferencing, displays, and meeting-room tech for meetings and events.
• Asset & Inventory Management: Track hardware inventory, lifecycle status, and coordinate procurement with IT team.
• Executive Support: Provide high-quality support to executive users; respond quickly to urgent requests.
• Local Remote-Hands: Act as local hands for network/infrastructure teams when needed.
• Documentation: Maintain tickets, asset records, and HQ procedures; contribute to knowledge-base articles.
• Collaboration & Escalation: Work with distributed IT team and elevate when issues fall outside scope.
