Job summary

Freeport‑McMoRan is seeking an on‑site IT Technician to install and maintain PC hardware, software, printers, and telephony systems at the Henderson mine and mill. You’ll implement networking solutions, perform preventive maintenance, and document configurations and issues.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely support for a 24/7 operation. Two years of hands‑on experience with computer/electronic systems and knowledge of PBX/VoIP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in installation, repair and maintenance of PC hardware, software, printers and telephone handsets.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose issues with computers, peripherals and voice systems.

Responsibilities

• Set‑up, deliver and install PCs, telephones, networking, and peripheral equipment using defined procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on voice and data systems; maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental programs; ensure MIS policy compliance and site goals.
• Troubleshoot voice, network, PC, and basic wireless infrastructure to isolate issues.
• Perform other duties as required.
