Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking an IT Technician to install and maintain PCs, phones, networking gear and peripherals at our Chino operation near Silver City, NM. You will follow established procedures, document work, and support safety and environmental programs.

Key duties include setting up hardware, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting voice/data systems, and collaborating with teams to keep systems reliable. Weekend/shift availability is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in computer/electronic systems troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
• Experience with PC hardware, software, printers, fax machines and telephone handsets.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose issues with computers and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, deliver and install PCs, telephones, networking and peripheral equipment using defined procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on voice and data systems and document activities.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental programs and ensure MIS policy compliance.
• Perform voice, network, PC and basic wireless troubleshooting to diagnose infrastructure problems.
• Perform other duties as required.
