Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a on-site IT/Computer Technician to set up and install PCs, phones, networking gear, and peripherals at the Sierrita operation near Tucson, AZ.

You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot voice/data systems, while maintaining safety and MIS compliance. The role requires 2 years of hardware/software troubleshooting experience, knowledge of PC hardware, PBX/VoIP, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in the installation, repair and maintenance of PC hardware, software, printers, fax machines and telephone handsets.
• Ability to effectively analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose issues with computers, peripherals, cellular and voice systems.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, deliver and install personal computers, telephones, networking, and peripheral equipment using established procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on voice and data communication systems and associated hardware with accurate documentation.
• Actively participate in Safety and Environmental programs, ensure MIS policy compliance and site operational goals.
• Perform voice, network, and PC and basic wireless troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose infrastructure problems.
