Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an on-site IT technician to set up and maintain computer systems, phones, and networking at our Henderson site. You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot voice, data, and PC issues to keep operations running smoothly.

Two years of hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting experience and solid communication skills are required. On-site housing allowance and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Experience installing PC hardware, software, printers, fax machines and telephone handsets.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose issues with computers, peripherals, cellular and voice systems.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, deliver and install personal computers, telephones, networking, and peripheral equipment using established procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on voice and data systems and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental programs, ensure MIS policy compliance and site goals.
• Perform voice, network, PC and basic wireless troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose infrastructure problems.
• Perform other duties as required.
