Job summary

MITY Inc. in Orem, Utah, is seeking a dependable Help Desk Technician to provide frontline technical support to employees across the organization.

This in-office role resolves hardware, software, network, account, and application issues, supports onboarding and offboarding, and keeps workplace technology running smoothly. You will respond to requests via phone, email, chat, and the IT ticketing system; install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile devices, and approved apps;

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT/CS preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Previous help desk/technical support experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft 365; basic networking knowledge.
• Familiarity with macOS, Active Directory, and ticketing platforms (Jira/ServiceNow/Freshservice) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Respond to employee support requests via phone, email, chat, and IT ticketing system; prioritize and communicate progress.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, account, and application issues; escalate complex problems as needed.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and approved business apps.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, including account provisioning and deprovisioning, equipment setup, and access management.
• Maintain accurate service tickets with issues, steps, and resolutions; support manufacturing-floor tech and conference-room tech.
• Coordinate with IT team and vendors to resolve issues and communicate recurring problems to senior IT staff.
• Maintain knowledge-base articles and educate employees on best practices; adhere to security and data privacy requirements.
