Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join the Refinish ColorIT Distribution Team on-site at Strongsville, OH. You will coordinate procurement and delivery of digital tools, support stocking levels, and help ensure shops convert or regain operation after equipment failures.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, translate sales forecasts into POs, and manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.

Qualifications

• Three years of proven experience in a shipping, logistics, inventory control, customer service, or supply chain environment.
• Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and conditional formulas.
• Oracle experience and database familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Customer Service, ColorIT Helpdesk, and external vendors.
• Participate in monthly hardware planning meetings to maintain sales forecasts.
• Maintain target stocking levels by translating sales forecasts into POs for warehouse replenishment.
• Communicate with vendors regarding changes to sales forecasts, PO delivery dates, quality issues, and related matters.
• Support inventory accuracy goals and inventory transactions.
• Perform monthly cycle counts according to company requirements.
• Communicate with team members about stockouts, substitutions, and estimated available dates.
• Ensure 100% shipping of customer orders.
• Cross-train to provide backup for warehousing, shipping, and computer bench functions.
