Job summary

IES Communications in Abilene, TX seeks a Project Lead - Infrastructure to act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. The role ensures job completion per quality and safety standards while maintaining staff efficiency.

Key duties include leading project crews, coordinating with the Project Manager, managing paperwork and as-builts, and serving as the on-site customer contact. Travel within the territory may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience as an electrician, or related technical field.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must possess and be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects.
• Ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining staff efficiency.
• Lead major project crews and provide necessary training; enforce safety and quality guidelines; hold weekly safety meetings.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion and budget compliance.
• Complete all project paperwork on time (timesheets, transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, etc.).
• Perform quality checks and prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
• Serve as main on-site customer contact and attend meetings when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; read and interpret project documents.
