Job summary

The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is hiring an Income Certification Specialist to ensure compliance with funders and regulators for on-site properties in Bronx, NY. This full-time, 35+ hour week role supports asset management and tenant income processes.

You will manage annual recertifications, rent processes in RealPage, and maintain accurate tenant records while collaborating with the Leasing and Compliance team to meet deadlines and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• LIHTC Certification preferred, or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, SRO building, affordable housing programs, income recertification, lease renewals, and subsidy/regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with annual compliance recertification and track deadlines.
• Act as liaison for compliance programs (HPD, NYCHA, Section 8, LIHTC, Fair Housing).
• Communicate updates and provide training on program changes.
• Process rent bills and payments in RealPage promptly.
• Oversee and ensure quality control of tenant/compliance master files.
• Draft correspondence on building management, compliance, subsidies, and related matters.
• Serve as primary contact for tenant ledgers, income limits, and rent parameters.
• Review rent rolls and recertification packages; assist in audits.
• Proficiently use RealPage Affordable system; support daily operations.
